Zermatt is the quintessential Swiss mountain village, with breathtaking views under the shadow of the Matterhorn, its cobbled streets and ancient wooden granges lend a charming atmosphere to this exceptional resort. The huge ski area has something for everyone, from the gentle slopes on the Gornergrat to the tree skiing in Sunnegga and the pristine pistes of the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, the highest ski area in Europe at 3883m, with skiing possible all year round. In the town, designer boutiques stand side by side with quaint local cafes, Michelin starred restaurants and the famous bars that serve Zermatt’s vibrant nightlife.

Our experienced ski and snowboard instructors in Zermatt offer one-to-one ski lessons and group lessons starting at the top of Sunnegga Express (Next to the piste map, opposite the restaurant), our suggested meeting point.
With our ski school in Zermatt, you know you are in safe hands. As well as knowing the area well and understanding the terrain, all our ski instructors are highly trained, holding the ski teaching qualifications currently on offer in Switzerland.
As well as private and group lessons, we offer ski lessons to families, children’s ski groups, and adult ski lessons too. Catering for all abilities and ages, our ski lessons are fun and exciting, in a safe environment. I grew up in Stourbridge, UK. I learnt to ski in Mottaret, 3 Vallees, France and Tamworth SnowDome.
I learnt to ski at 2 years old. While growing up, our family holidays were ski holidays.
It is safe to say we all had the ski bug. I took my first ski Instructor courses when I turned 21 and I've been teaching ever since.
My favourite piste in resort: National, Piste 8. Is a challenging steep black slope. It is serviced by the Patrullarve chairlift for a quick turnaround to maximise ski time.
Favourite tip: Braquage - A very useful skill to have in your arsenal for getting down steep, narrow slopes. Powder days are my favourite! I know it's an obvious cliche but you just have to love those days.

I was born and raised in Greece specifically in the city of Volos which is within breathing distance from the sea and parallel to it is a mountain at 1400 altitude where at the age of 9 I took my first steps as a cross-country skier.
I was a competitive elite member of the national endurance ski team until the age of 21 with several Panhellenic and Balkan distinctions and participation in world cups. I am a Physical Education and Sports Science teacher (BSc & MSc) ISIA qualified with 8 seasons of coaching experience including one of them in Zermatt.
I love skiing in Zermatt for me it's like a paradise I love skiing everywhere but my favorite piste in Zermatt is the Schusspiste.
My Top tip for skiing: Control your skis. Don’t let your skis control you. Favorite part of skiing: The constant challenge and the total fun!

The Zermatt ski area is made up of 3 sectors that are easily accessible from town. The Sunnegga area has gentle blue runs and a dedicated beginners area at the Wolli Park. On its lower slopes there is some good tree skiing to be found. The Gornergrat area boasts fantastic blue and red pistes with challenging off-piste from the top of Höhtali. At its summit, the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise has endless perfect slopes and a large snow park with skier cross and jumps. It is also the gateway to enjoy the famous Italian hospitality of Cervinia and Valtournenche.
