Hi everyone, my name is Jaco, I'm an Italian ski instructor with 5 years of experience.
I've been passionate about skiing since I was a child. I have a competitive career behind me and I like to convey my passion and knowledge for this sport. During my lessons, I try to help the student develop technical skills through sensations on their own body. We will therefore use videos and exercises to achieve greater control of the ski.

Born in Genoa, Italy, Filippo is from a family of ski instructors - after being taught to ski by his father, Filippo progressed to ski racing and competed for the Limone ski team. After retiring from ski racing, Filippo trained to become a ski coach and ski instructor and hasn’t looked back.
He has ski instructed in Morzine for the past few years and has also worked in New Zealand, Australia, and Italy.

Fun, beginner-friendly lessons taught with passion!
I grew up in Porretta Terme, near Bologna, and started skiing at the age of four on the slopes of Corno alle Scale. Skiing has been a huge part of my life ever since. I’m currently studying sports science at university, which helps me understand how to improve my students’ technique and enjoyment of the sport. Being a ski instructor is more than just teaching technique, it’s about inspiring a lifelong love for skiing. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve your skills, I’m here to make your time on the slopes enjoyable and rewarding.
I teach skiing in English and Italian. Outside of skiing, I enjoy downhill mountain biking, exploring nature, and spending time with children, all of which keep me active and inspired. My approach is enthusiastic and personalised, with a focus on making every lesson fun and engaging, especially for beginners. I’m great with kids and love to create a relaxed and supportive environment where everyone feels confident to learn at their own pace. My goal is to share my passion for skiing and to help my students discover the joy and beauty of this incredible sport.

I grew up in Prato, Tuscany, and started skiing at the age of 2 in Abetone. With three years of teaching experience, I’ve worked in Abetone, Cimone, and Cortina d’Ampezzo. My qualifications include being a certified Ski Coach, and I’m fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish. I love design, being outdoors, and reading, especially books based on true stories. Teaching gives me the opportunity to combine my love for the mountains and sport with my passion for communicating and helping others. I’ve also had memorable experiences working with young autistic skiers, which opened my heart to teaching kids with special needs.
Yes! Les Gets offers gentle slopes, dedicated beginner zones and beginner-friendly lifts perfect for first-time skiers and snowboarders. Our lessons are designed to help beginners gain confidence and learn safely.
Absolutely! We provide tailored group lessons in Les Gets for children aged 5 and up, as well as family-friendly private lessons. We can also offer private lessons for younger children.

For your ski lessons in Les Gets, you will need a valid lift pass to access the slopes. All levels require a Morzine-Les Gets local-area lift pass, which covers all lifts across the resort. For more experienced skiers, we recommend purchasing a Portes du Soleil ski pass.
Sure! You can ski between Les Gets, Morzine and Avoriaz. Alternatively there is a free shuttle bus that runs between the resorts as well.
Our group ski lessons in Les Gets are kept small, with a maximum of 6 skiers per group. This ensures each participant receives plenty of individual guidance and instruction.
Our ski school offers lessons for all levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Use our quick levels guide to help select your level. If in doubt, talk to our team or book one level lower; we’ll adjust on day one, if required.
All our ski instructors in Les Gets are fully certified to teach in France and have experience teaching skiers of all ages and abilities, including beginners and children.
The majority of our lessons are delivered in English. To request a lesson to be taught in another language such as French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, or Chinese, please contact the office.
In most conditions, lessons continue as planned. If lifts close or conditions prevent safe skiing, we will do our best to reschedule your lessons. Refunds are available if the entire mountain closes.
If you need to cancel for personal reasons, reschedules are available where possible, and refunds follow our cancellation policy.
Les Gets is part of Les Portes du Soleil ski area, one of the largest ski areas in the world. Located next to Morzine, Les Gets has a wide selection of green, blue and red runs, making it ideal for beginners and advanced skiers alike. The transfer from Geneve airport is only an hour, so it's a great place to go for a short break! Let Gets is a picture perfect, traditional French alpine village and is brilliant for families.
