Situated at 2,300 metres above sea level, Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe and one that boasts guaranteed snow cover between November and May. I was born and raised in Madesimo, Italy, where I started skiing at just 3 years old, I have over 16 years of experience, including time spent teaching in the renowned slopes of Sankt Moritz, Switzerland. With a Sport Science degree and a Mountain Bike course certification, they combine academic knowledge with practical expertise to deliver top-quality lessons. When not on the slopes, they enjoy hitting the gym, playing football, and indulging in sports of all kinds. I have a calm, supportive, and humorous approach. While I excel in teaching expert-level skiers, they also work with beginners, tailoring each lesson to the individual's needs. I have experience working with a children with mental disabilities and despite initial difficulties, I always successfully teach him how to ski and ensure they have fun!

Growing up in Madesimo, Italy, I first clipped into skis at just three years old and have been passionate about the slopes ever since. With three years of professional experience, including teaching in the renowned Swiss resort of St. Moritz, I’ve had the chance to work with skiers from all walks of life. One particularly meaningful moment in my career was guiding a blind skier down the slopes—an emotional experience where I had to become her eyes. It taught me how powerful communication and trust can be, and seeing her happiness was truly unforgettable. Beyond the slopes, I enjoy playing football and tennis, and I’m a big fan of music.
I teach in Italian, English, and Spanish, and bring a patient, supportive, and humorous approach to every lesson. Whether I’m working with first-timers or more advanced skiers, my goal is always to create a safe, fun, and encouraging environment. My teaching style is all about adapting to the individual. I specialise in working with beginners and take pride in making them feel comfortable and confident from the very first run. I focus on clear communication, building trust, and making sure every skier enjoys themselves while learning at their own pace. I believe skiing should be fun and rewarding—whether you’re conquering your first slope or refining advanced techniques. Most of all, I love connecting with people from around the world and sharing in their progress and joy on the snow.

Yes! Val Thorens offers gentle slopes, dedicated beginner zones and beginner-friendly lifts perfect for first-time skiers and snowboarders. Our lessons are designed to help beginners gain confidence and learn safely.
Absolutely! We provide tailored group lessons in Val Thorens for children aged 5 and up, as well as family-friendly private lessons. We can also offer private lessons for younger children.

For your ski lessons in Val Thorens, you will need a valid lift pass to access the slopes. Beginners require a Val Thorens local-area lift pass, which covers all lifts across the resort. More experienced skiers will require a Three Valleys ski pass for private and group lessons.
Our group ski lessons in Val Thorens are kept small, with a maximum of 6 skiers per group. This ensures each participant receives plenty of individual guidance and instruction.
Our ski school offers lessons for all levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Use our quick levels guide to help select your level. If in doubt, talk to our team or book one level lower; we’ll adjust on day one, if required.
All our ski instructors in Val Thorens are fully certified to teach in France and have experience teaching skiers of all ages and abilities, including beginners and children.
The majority of our lessons are delivered in English. To request a lesson to be taught in another language such as French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, or Chinese, please contact the office.
In most conditions, lessons continue as planned. If lifts close or conditions prevent safe skiing, we will do our best to reschedule your lessons. Refunds are available if the entire mountain closes.
If you need to cancel for personal reasons, reschedules are available where possible, and refunds follow our cancellation policy.
Val Thorens is located in the three valleys ski area, at the far end of the tarentaise valley, in the Rhone-Alpes region of France. It is the highest resort of the three valleys with the main town located at about 2300 metres above sea level, Val Thorens is a sure bet for lots of snow and is renowned for often having some of the best conditions in the Alps. It is a fantastic resort for all levels of skier and snowboarder, with a huge variety easily accessible terrain across the valley. There is a large beginners area by the centre of the village, with more challenging runs found as you climb the mountain. Val Thorens is also famed for its great après ski and nightlife.
