The largest ski resort in Switzerland, Verbier is famous for it’s excellent snow conditions, large freeride and off piste areas and a fantastic night life. The famous Attelas piste is a firm favourite, starting at 2,700m, it has a huge 1000m long descent, Verbier 4Vallées really has something for everyone.

Course program
Week 1-2: Initial Training Block
Focus on building strong technical skills and developing teaching techniques.
Introduction to IASI methodology, biomechanics, and mountain safety protocols.
Preparation for the Level 1 Ski Instructor Exam.
Week 3: IASI Level 1 Ski Instructor Exam
Assessment of skiing ability, teaching performance, and safety knowledge.
Gain your Level 1 qualification, allowing you to teach in snowdomes and artificial slopes.
Week 4-5: Course Block
Time off during the busy festive season, giving you the chance to relax, ski independently, and enjoy Verbier’s famous après-ski scene.
Week 6-9: Advanced Training Block
Focus on more advanced skiing and teaching techniques in preparation for the Level 2 Ski Instructor Exam.
Refine your off-piste skills, personal performance, and understanding of high-level lesson delivery.
Week 10: IASI Level 2 Ski Instructor Exam

Our most frequently asked questions about our GAP ski course in Verbier
How do I apply or reserve a place?
Just get in touch via the Supreme Pro website or email us directly. Places are limited and fill up quickly, especially for Verbier, so we recommend applying early. A deposit will secure your spot.
What level of skiing do I need to join?
You should be a confident skier on all groomed runs (particularly on red runs) and comfortable linking turns in control off-piste. You don’t need prior instructor experience, we’ll train you from the ground up, but you should be fit and ready for a full-time training environment.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
Yes, we recommend bringing your own skis, boots, and helmet. We’ll advise on the most suitable ski types for training and exams (generally piste performance skis). If needed, we can help you arrange rentals or purchases in resort.
Will I be able to work as a ski instructor after the course?
Yes - once you’ve passed Level 2, you’ll be qualified to apply for instructor jobs around the world. We also offer career guidance and job placement advice during and after the course.

Is Verbier a snow-sure resort?
Verbier consistently boasts some of the best snow conditions of any resort in Europe. It’s renowned for excellent snow coverage on piste and regular snow falls that provide excellent off-piste conditions. The resort is open from the end of November to the end of April.
Where is Verbier?
Located in the canton of the Valais, in the southwest of Switzerland, Verbier is bordered by France to the west and Italy to the south. It has easy transport links, situated about a two-hour drive from Geneva airport, or you can take a train from the airport to Le Chable and take the gondola to the centre of resort.
What’s the town like?
Verbier is known for some of the best partying in the Alps, from lively aprés-ski, to fantastic restaurants and bars - it has something for everyone.
Qualifications and Opportunities after the course

We provide the qualifications through the Irish Association of Ski Instructors (IASI), a
globally recognised and respected certification. IASI’s strong reputation, combined with
Ireland’s ongoing EU membership, ensures that instructors qualifying through this system
have access to a wide range of job opportunities across Europe and beyond.
The Level 2 qualification is a significant step up from Level 1, which is limited to a
closed environment such as snowdomes and artificial slopes and beginner areas. This
qualification opens the door to teaching in open alpine environment around the world,
including ski schools in many European countries, Canada, the U.S., New Zealand, and
more.
